ABOUT MY BOXWORKS

My boxes are made from found and recycled materials.

Inspirations include taxidermy, natural history, naive, folk and assemblage art. All boxes are individually made using bits and pieces found on country dog walks. The subject matters are mainly chameleons and birds. Humour is very important in my work and I find these animals and birds particularly funny.

The boxes are mainly created from old cardboard boxes. Please note if purchasing a box - these boxes are not perfectly finished. They will have creases, remnants of glue or maybe slightly wonky. This is part of the design. I don’t make perfect art. They can be displayed in cabinets, on shelves or on the wall. A hanging disk is included with each box.

All are signed and numbered.
